FAQ

How do I get into a team?

Over  the last 5 years we have created an Academy programme for kids as young as 3 to join our Club. This is the best route into one of our 30 plus teams. At our open trials in held each May over 70% of all new players selected by the team managers came through our Academy Development programme.  See Home page for details.  Coaching staff at the Academy are all current team managers.

Can I just turn up and train with a team?

No. All players who train or play for the Club must be registered to the Club to comply with our Insurance. We take this matter very seriously.

On what day do the teams play?

The C & I League teams play on a Friday and occasional on Monday evenings.  The Harrow League Teams usually play on a Sunday morning.  The Regents Park League play on Saturdays as do the Capital Girls league and the Hertfordshire Girls League.  The exception to this is the u18 Hertfordshire Girls who play on a Sunday.

What days do the teams train on?

This is only decided late in the summer when we receive our scheduled slots from the various venues we hire for training sessions. Until that time we cannot be certain, It usually revolves around the most suitable day for the majority of the team and the availabilty of their coach provided the venue is available.

What do I receive in the way of kit and is there a charge?

All players receive a team kit, a training kit plus a personal ball which must be taken to training. We do not accept players in kit other than official HFC kit for training or matches. There is no additional charge for kit other than for replacement.

How much are the fees and when are they due?

The annual fees for 2013/14 are £275 for one team and £60 for any other teams.   The price for a brother or sister is reduced to £215.

There is a 10% discount for paying early.   All fees are due before the season starts.
